Delights of the Week: Upcycled Goodies

The following are some of my favorite projects from other bloggers that I saw over the past couple of weeks. 

Last Sunday was Earth Day and it just so happens my favorite projects this week are upcycled projects. I love seeing how others creatively re-use items we normally would throw away.

Recycled Jar Vases from Design, Dining + Diapers

 I've seen upcycled jars as vases before, but I love Taryn's use of lace, burlap, and ribbon with the roses-the whole ensemble is beautiful. She made these for her daughter's sweet Shabby Chic Birthday party which you definitely need to check out!

Altered Book Monogram from Ashbee Design

This is an awesome (and free!) way to use those useless Reader's Digest condensed books. You know, the ones that have pretty covers and weird condensed stories that no one really reads.

Rug Slip Cover from Free Time Frolics

 Instead of throwing out her old rug, Adrienne saved money AND updated her decor by making a slip cover for it. Now, she can just take it off if she ever wants it back-OR make different ones when she gets bored. Ingenious!

Fruit Drying Rack Photo Frames from Kusak's Closet

Amanda made these from fruit drying racks she brought home from an estate sale. Now I want to stumble upon some fruit drying racks!
